Almost couple of week, i haven’t visited hostican homepage. Previously in my hostican review blog, i mentioned that hostican hosting is not running their own forum site or community forum. Seem like some improvement have taken place, and now there is a hostican forum and community site.
I visited the hostican forum site today, and its a wow… Nicely design vbulletin forum site. Good color theme. And as well enhanced with vbSEO for search engine optimization. Hostican really put some good effort in running their community forums now.

First of all, hostican not running their forum or community site. And i been looking around, searched around google and yahoo to look for hostican forums. Can’t find it, just drop to few of general hosting talk forums. Hostican have a growing community, think its time to have a hostican forum running.
Back to hostican hosting plan. If you need to setup your own web forum site, you can use the free script like smf or phpbb forum. Setup is very easy and painless. What you need to do is sign in to your host ican cpanel, go to fantastico, and left hand side menu you can see the discussion board: smf and phpbb2. You can click on it, and fantastico will guide you on the setup and installation. Answer few simple question and your forum will be running 
Although there is phpbb3 released already, but not available yet from fantastico. If you look forward for version 3, you have to download it and manually setup yoru phpbb forum. Without go through fantastico. Unzip your phpbb3 files, and upload to server. Follow the readme setup, and it just takes a few steps to complete.
