In my previous posting, i mentioned of hostican email sending limits, which mean how many emails you can send per hour. At this new post, i write about hostican server resource limitation, also known as hostican cpu limits. In all shared hosting environment which is shared by lots of other websites and users, its always limitation and restriction aplied so a balanced environment is created for all users.
For hostican hosting, their server cpu limits are quit high. Its set to 25% for 90 seconds continuesly. Which means that you able able to use up to 25% of CPU resource processing power and maintain it for 90 seconds, just before you hit the highload error page, eg. highload.html page.
Always make sure your scripts is bug free, mysql connection is closed after using as well. These are few measures to prevent scripts from using over the 25% cpu resource. In some scenario where you does require more than the resource limits. For example you are converting one forum from vbulletin to phpbb or vise versa, and the conversion script require more than 90 seconds to run. The only way to get this done is email support team, and they will run it for you. No point to causing trouble and hit the cpu error page each time, you will start to hate hostican
… do it right, and if you can’t… ask for hostican support team to assist. Simple as that!

your website php script might utilized heavy server resource during peak time, this may include mysql database usage, which is common caused for the highload warning.
Option you have is either to optimised the wordpress blog, having less feature turn on, for example the tagging display might call alot of server reources.
Second option is to upgrade to hostican vps hosting, which offering you much more server resource.
