This hostican review blog had been running from hostican server for some weeks, and i noticed that hostican uptime is really great. I have the “service uptime” monitoring for this hostican blog. And i haven’t receive acknowledgement that this site is down. So far, i haven’t see any downtime on this hosting plan. And its too good to be true.
If you look forward to setup a blog site or content right management site, or a forum site. Definately you will need to look for a very reliable hosting provider and with good support as well. You will not want your blog site to down, or server crash or lost data. And most the time, its hardly to recover the lost data. Unless the hosting provider do backup and restore back the most recent backup copy.
Form hostican cpanel, as in standard cpanel control panel, go to fantastico de luxe and on the left column is the free scripts that you can install. Go to blogs category and you can see there are 4 free blog script: b2evolution, Nucleus, pMachine Free, WordPress. Select the type you prefer and fantastico will guide you through the easy installation process.
As you already noticed, this wordpress blog is hosted with hostican.com. I didn’t go through the fantastico to setup, but using the manual installation. Uploaded the latest wodpress script and manually setup from there. Future upgrade, i will need to upload the updated script and run the update php. Not hard, probably took less than 5 minutes. The hostican ftp is fast as well, this make the uploading process painless.
Its wonderful experience hosting wordpress blog with hostican, its so reliable and problem-free experience. View the latest promotion and go to Hostican.com

For a newbie, I’m finding this process ultra-confusing. I have to email support for every step.
1. Fantasico is no longer an icon in the cPanel. I was able to find WordPress (with help) from the APS tab on the cPanel
2. I went to the SQL wizard as instructed and I think I created more databases. I don’t yet know why I need a database. I just want to create my WordPress.
3. Almost 24-hours later and I still don’t have any idea how to get my blog up and running.
Can you set up a “how to get your blog up” video tutorial for dummies?
