For a newbie, I’m finding this process ultra-confusing. I have to email support for every step.

1. Fantasico is no longer an icon in the cPanel. I was able to find WordPress (with help) from the APS tab on the cPanel
2. I went to the SQL wizard as instructed and I think I created more databases. I don’t yet know why I need a database. I just want to create my WordPress.
3. Almost 24-hours later and I still don’t have any idea how to get my blog up and running.

Can you set up a “how to get your blog up” video tutorial for dummies?

Hostican does not answer their phone. They still advertise 24/7 tech support, but their hours are actually only 9 am to 9 pm. I pay $199 for a dedicated server, but am being treated like a $5/month customer. My site has been down for 12 hrs, and I can’t even get an explanation for why they can’t get me back up and running. Have spent hours trying to get through to no avail.

I depend on my site for my business, and my business begins at 7:30 in the morning. I guess I’ll have to wait until 9 am to maybe wait again on hold and try to reach someone to maybe get my site working once more.

Hostican used to be owned by someone else, and their customer service was excellent. Now these new owners have taken what used to be a good service, and eliminated everything which worked.

I upgraded my VPS ($240 odd) due to the current plan not coping, 2 weeks later I cancelled and moved to a dedicated server because the vps just couldnt cut it. Their ’30 day unconditional money back guarantee’ was expected, its been 2 weeks now and my support requests are being ignored. Live support is never online. I am very disappointed. They told me they had no record of me renewing 2 weeks ago so I had to show them the paypal transaction. Still no word. Awful.
